What is TTL?

TTL stands for Through the Lens and it is usually referred to the automatic exposure with an external strobe.

This is a sensor and feature in the camera that measures the exposure on the CCD in real time and turns off the flash when the exposure is correct.

Doing this manually takes some practice but once mastered is not too complex.
